Decluttering a full house means making hundreds of small decisions, and by the time you're an hour into just the kitchen, every item can start to feel like its own judgment call.

The 4 Rule System comes down to the same four questions, asked the same way every time: do you have a duplicate you don't use, would you buy this again today, has it expired, and has it moved in the last year. We walk through all four in the kitchen, the closet, the bathroom, and the garage, and the same four questions work well past those rooms too, on decor, furniture, and anywhere else clutter tends to collect.

In this episode:

  • The "One Shelf Test" for kitchen duplicates
  • The Reverse Hanger Trick for closets
  • Why organizing before decluttering backfires
  • A 15-minute game for bathroom clutter
  • The $1,200 garage moving mistake
  • The "Maybe" box trick that works
